For this past week's Friday enrichment activity, we held a Detroit Innovation Mixer at Tech Town. There are countless organizations, fellowships, and programs in Detroit taking innovative approaches to help this city rise from the ashes. The aim for this mixer, was to provide space for people from several of these groups and organizations to come together and talk about social innovation in the Motor City. We wanted this to be a space for networking, collaboration, and inspiration. Organizations and groups represented at the mixer included Brown University, Challenge Detroit fellows, Venture for America Detroit, D:Hive, and Chris Uhl of The Skillman Foundation.
