The #dukeengagedetroit group at @socialclubdet Shop Talk {providing a monthly opportunity for people in Detroit to talk with a diverse panel of community leaders, artists, business leaders, and activists about particular issues in the city and the future of Detroit-- as the panelists get a haircut}. All hair cut here is used to plant trees around Detroit.

This event was an opportunity for Duke alumni in Detroit, the DukeEngage Detroit 2015 cohort, our irreplaceable community partners who make the  summer possible, and other friends in the area to gather together for the purpose of networking, collaboration, and getting to know one another! At this event, the students also met their VFA mentors for the summer!
